Start of story. In the beginning, the Omniacs are safe, but they realize something unsettling: they have no true knowledge of the outside world. So they begin to explore.
Chapter 1 — The First Discovery
Wastelands
The first thing they discover and a reminder that the world can be hostile.
The first thing they discover? A desolate land. And with that, the Omniacs learn an obvious truth: the outside world is a dangerous place.
But they are undeterred. They don’t panic, they plan. If they can’t understand the world yet, they’ll just build a place where learning is safe.
“They’re undeterred; the Omniacs hatch a plan: build an enclave, then map the world's dangers.”
Chapter 2 — The Enclave
The Omniacs live in a self-sustained ecosystem shielded from the outside world. They are hidden from danger, but still aware of it.
They grow food. Educate each other. Experiment. They play games not as distraction, but as practice—cooperating, training, and learning.
Here, in safety, they learn how to become useful.
Life inside
Learning, building, and playing—together.
Chapter 3 — The Common Good
The Danger Room
Simulated worlds. Unexpected events. Real preparation.
Much of their time is spent researching new technologies—always with one goal: the common good, for their group and for the outside world.
They've even built a “danger room,” where they simulate other worlds and scenarios to prepare for the unknown.
Sometimes, they even travel to distant worlds and return with new knowledge, not as trophies, but as ingredients for better systems.
“They provide a service of fixing up old, broken open source repositories—code and robots—so progress can keep moving.”
Chapter 4 — The Simulated Outside
They are now safer than ever. The Enclave is a home—strong, warm, alive. But the outside world remains dangerous… and it is still their home, too.
“So they build even more! A simulated outside world and space exploration infrastructure to prepare themselves for exploration in this world and beyond.”
Chapter 5 — First Contact
Through all of this, they face their fears—and slowly step out into the world.
“Through all of this, they face their fears and slowly step out into the world…”
And soon enough, one of the most amazing things happens: they make first contact with their future selves.
“They make first contact with their future selves.”
They discover that the work was never wasted. That building and growing is how you defeat unknown evils: not with fear, but with capability.
The Future Answered
A message: Keep building. Keep learning. It pays off.
Finale — The Way Forward
“Finally, they have the confidence to face the unknown, to venture out and make the world a better place, with confidence in their hearts.”
The Omniacs know the way and commit to building a better future for everyone.
This is the story of their journey.
